Cristom is a fantastic producer from Willamette Valley, Oregon, their Mt. Jefferson cuvee is one of my personal favorites. This Pinot Noir has a beautiful garnet color with lovely red fruit and earth on the nose. The palate has bright red cherry flavors followed with a touch of spice and earth that will further develop with a little more bottle age. The finish has nice acidity and earth making this a well structured, complex wine. I find this particular Pinot Noir to be one of the best tasting wines I have had from Willamette Valley at a reasonable price, coming in under $35.
